Dues are employer deducted from members' pay – members only pay dues when working at least 40 hours per month. Dues are only paid when working. A member can be not working / inactive for 6 months before status changes to dormant member. Reactivated dormant members have to pay a $2 initiation fee. 

The employer deducts your dues and remits them to the Union.
