Union Membership Manager

Rick has been a committed member of our union since 2019, leveraging his extensive experience in Oil and Gas construction. His background working closely with both field personnel and management equips him with a deep well of knowledge and expertise. As our Union Membership Manager, Rick excels in handling individual member concerns and managing collective issues, including CBA negotiations, and voting processes. He played a key role in updating the CISIWU (Canadian Iron, Steel, and Industrial Workers Union) Local 2 Constitution and was instrumental in organizing speaking engagements across BC and AB, ensuring broad member participation in the ratification vote.

Managing Experience

As the Union Membership Manager, Rick Jamerson is responsible for:

Track all new and existing members
Keep members informed through the Union designed software
Deal with any member/s concerns or grievances
Find, educate, and install Shop Stewards
Negotiate agreements for members with signatory companies

Achievements

Relocation and amalgamation of CISIWU 1& 2 to an Edmonton Head Office
The introduction and implementation of CISIWU to an electronic platform
Ratification of Local 2 updated Constitution
